Crochet for the Summer

I live in Alaska so it isn't hot here yet but the warmer weather is coming and so I've been interested in coming up with some good Summer projects.

The result was two new pattern that I absolutely LOVE!

Simple Cotton Sunhat in all size (newborn to adult)

The sunhat pattern also comes with the pattern for this new flower:
This photo was taken by Amanda from Sugar Mama's Sweet Boutique, she sells the finished items to several of my patterns. Definitely check her out, she is amazing!

The next pattern is a pair of simple cotton slingback flats with a bow (Woman sizes 3-12)

This concludes my last couple weeks...I'm running out of Cotton yarn  : )

Maple Turkey Breakfast Sausage

I think this is the first recipe I've shared on this blog...weird. I have to share this recipe because these are my FAVORITE and pretty EASY. Not as easy as frying up some pre-packaged pork sausage..but definitely healthier and easy for a "from scratch" recipe. Worth it?...I think YES! you'll have to let me know what you guys think.

Ingredients:
2 lb Ground Turkey
1 tsp Ginger
3 tsp Salt
3 tsp Sage
1/2 tsp Cayenne Pepper
1 tsp Black Pepper
2 tbs Maple Syrup (these taste great without maple syprup too!)

Mix all ingredients together. Heat up a frying pan around medium heat. These little patties are around  1 1/2 - 2 inches across. You can make them bigger if you want but I like them bite size.
Pick up your turkey goo, smash it flat and fry it on each side for a couple minutes.

eat with some eggs and asparagus...perfect meal!

Whenever I make these, I always make a whole bunch so that we have extra in the fridge for munching on. They are delicious cold too. You can also throw these in your food. These taste great in pasta dishes.

Hope you enjoy!!

Easter Presents

I had to show you these awesome plush toys that my brother's girlfriend made for my kids for Easter....and we have four kids. Soooo sweet! and each of these toys came in it's own handmade bag as well, full of other Easter treats. My kids are spoiled.

A pink bunny for Sammy

A Bear for Jordan - It was funny, when they gave it to him...he was sure it was an owl. I'm not sure why he thought it was an owl. He told me that bears don't have arms like that. My silly boy.

A yellow cat for Galilee. I feel like Audrey did a perfect job picking who got what animal.

An adorable elephant for Summer!

Audrey got the pattern to make these little Animals from a pattern seller on Etsy and I found her.

Conclusion: My brother has the best girlfriend ever!

I am back....it's true this time.

Hi!

awww, it's been awhile and it feels so good to be on this wonderful little blog, again.

I thought I would start with a little family update.

look'it, their growing...sooooo fast.

ohhhhh, that picture is missing one.

Here she is! The star of our show, our little Sammy. She is getting so big! She is crawling now and getting into (and trying to eat) everything!

I've recently received several e-mails from some very very sweet readers full of well wishes, asking if I was okay and hoping that I would continue to blog. The answer is YES! I love this blog and I love to blog and will be getting me bum back in gear...now. I've taking a wee break but I'm ready to start crocheting, blogging and feeding my lust for creativity.

I thought this was cute and kinda fitting.

Till next I write....Eat some chocolate....mmmkay.
